Overview
In the evolving landscape of research funding, grant applications are no longer evaluated solely on scientific merits. Increasingly, funders require a clear articulation of how research findings will be translated into meaningful outcomes and measurable impact for the benefit of communities. Demonstrating the potential for knowledge translation and socio-economic benefit is becoming essential for securing competitive grants.
To meet these growing expectations, researchers and research managers must be equipped to integrate knowledge translation strategies and research impact pathways into funding proposals. This includes the ability to identify, plan, document, and report on potential impacts aligned with funder requirements.
We are pleased to announce a virtual webinar on ‘Incorporating Knowledge Translation and Research Impact in Grant Applications,’ designed to build capacity among research support professionals and academics. This event forms part of the Community of Practice of Research Output, Outcome, and Impact (COP-ROOI) 2025 programme with a focus on Research Impact and Grants Management. COP-ROOI aims to foster collaboration, share best practices, and enhance institutional capabilities in achieving and evidencing research impact.
Objectives
Participation in the webinar will lead to:
- Equip participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively incorporate knowledge translation strategies and impactful pathways into grant applications.
- Enhance their alignment with community needs and funder expectations.
Highlights
