Data and data analysis - NWU Strategic intelligence information portal 2025-11-04 Online

Purpose:

Colleagues attending the session can expect a practical demonstration and real-world examples of using the NWU Strategic Intelligence Power BI dashboard/tool to extract accurate data that provide insight into, amongst other things, student registration and enrollment numbers, student profiles, pass and throughput rates.

Outcomes:

After the demonstration, participants will acquire information about the following:

  • how to access the NWU strategic intelligence information portal (Power BI), retrieve, download and interpret data and
  • best practice pertaining to data-informed decision making.

Recipients will be required to apply the acquired knowledge on the use of the NWU Strategic Intelligence Dashboard by completing the following activities:

  • access and filter data on the dashboard to access information; 
  • export a PDF report of the filtered data;
  • submit proof of completion of the downloaded report as instructed during the workshop
