How Research Policies Shape the Research Environment In-Person / Online
In an increasingly complex research environment, governance has become vital for ensuring responsible, ethical, and high-quality research at universities. At the Northwest University, research activities are guided and regulated by a set of institutional rules that define acceptable conduct, permissible behaviours, and outline researchers' responsibilities. These include, among others, the Research Ethics Policy, Academic Integrity Policy, Research Data Management Policy, Animal Research Ethics Policy, and the Artificial Intelligence Policy. This hybrid seminar aims to raise awareness and understanding of how institutional governance influences the research environment through policy frameworks and oversight systems. It offers an opportunity to engage with policymakers and research leaders to understand policy expectations and consider the practical implications for researchers.
