Invitation: Introduction to Evidence Synthesis Workshop – 17 July 2025 Online

The North-West University (NWU) Library and Information Service (LIS) is pleased to invite you to an Introduction to Evidence Synthesis Workshop, designed for NWU researchers, postgraduate students, academic staff, librarians, and research support personnel.

Workshop Title:
Introduction to Evidence Synthesis: A Workshop for NWU Researchers, Postgraduate Students, and Support Staff

About the Workshop:
Are you conducting research or supporting researchers and want to better engage with existing evidence? Join us for an introductory session on Evidence Synthesis (ES) — a powerful approach that consolidates research findings to inform decisions in academia, policy, and practice.

In a time where research transparency, reproducibility, and impact are more important than ever, ES has become an essential methodology across disciplines.

This 2-hour interactive workshop will:

  • Explain the various types of evidence synthesis reviews
  • Walk you through the key steps of an ES project
  • Introduce essential tools and resources such as PRISMA, Rayyan, Covidence, and more
  • Showcase how NWU LIS can support your review process from start to finish
