Africa Day Celebration: Our Africa, Our Story, Our Legacy In-Person / Online

The NWU Library and Information Service, in collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, proudly celebrates Africa Day under the theme Our Africa, Our Story, Our Legacy. This commemorative event highlights the value of African knowledge, cultures, and indigenous wisdom in enhancing teaching, learning, and research. It honours the richness of Africa’s cultures, languages, histories, heritage, and knowledge systems, while providing a meaningful platform to reflect on our shared identity, celebrate diversity, and recognise the stories and wisdom that continue to shape the continent. As we honour our legacy, we also inspire future generations to preserve, promote, and advance Africa’s vibrant heritage.
